UBS wins Euroweek Poll Awards 2003

UBS has picked up a number of key awards and top positions in the Euroweek Poll Awards. These awards focus on investment banking performance in the debt capital markets and Fixed Income derivative markets and reflect the views of both borrowers and of our peers in the investment banking community.

UBS Investment Bank was voted Top Bank for Best Lead Manager of Subordinated Debt/Bank Capital in the peers’ poll and in the borrowers poll and we were named Best Support in the Secondary Market and Best Lead Manager of Financial Institution bonds.

In the Deal of the Year categories, UBS picked up awards for Best FRN for Allied Irish Banks €1.25bn issue, Best Yen for HBOS Y60bn issue, and Best Sovereign Deal awards for US$1bn Republic of Ukraine and US$1bn Federative Republic of Brazil.

David Soanes, DCM, commented, ”This completes the set of awards for the FIG team, following IFR’s coveted 'Subordinated debt House of the Year’ award in December”.
