UBS tops Institutional Investor's LatAm poll for the third year running

For the third year running, UBS has been voted the best LatAm research team in Institutional Investor's survey of LatAm fund managers, with 15 rankings. As was the case in 2004, every UBS LatAm analyst team was ranked at least once. In addition, UBS improved its tally of top positions: of the 15 ranked positions, the firm had five top places, versus four last year.

UBS was named the First Team for Brazil, Mexico, Cement & Construction, Paper & Pulp, and Aerospace & Transport. The last of these is a new category this year. Second Team rankings were achieved for LatAm Equity Strategy, Chile, North Andean, and Utilities, while UBS was the Third Team in Economics, Argentina, Telcos, Banks, and Conglomerates. UBS was also named runner-up for Beverages.

UBS first in Thomson Extel Survey for fifth year running

The Investment Bank has been ranked first for Pan-European Equity Research in the Thomson Extel Survey 2005 for the fifth consecutive year.

The survey also places UBS first for Pan European Equity Sales and Trading & Execution - awards UBS has won every year since their inception in 2002.

These achievements follow the firm's success in February when UBS European Equity Research was ranked first in Institutional Investor magazine's 2005 All-Europe Research Team survey for the fourth consecutive year and first in Pan-European Institutional Equity Sales and Pan-European Trading and Execution.
