UBS names Jeffrey Mayer Joint Global Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities

UBS today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Mayer as Joint Global Head of the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) business within its Investment Bank. With the recently announced Joint Global Head of FICC Carsten Kengeter, he will have responsibility for all fixed income products including credit fixed income, rates, structured products, emerging markets, foreign exchange, commodities, securitized products, client coverage and research. UBS recognized by Working Mother magazine for sixth year in a row

UBS has been recognized by Working Mother magazine as among the top 100 Best Companies for sixth year in a row. UBS was recognized for policies and programs that meet the needs of working mothers and their families, including competitive parental leave, assistance with childcare and providing employees with flexibility. UBS tops Risk's Interbank FX Derivatives Poll

UBS has outperformed in Risk's Interbank FX Derivatives Poll. UBS won all four overall currency categories, not only holding on to first place in exotic currency options and currency forwards but also improving from second place to first place in vanilla currency options and from third place to first place in cross-currency swaps. UBS was ranked in the top three in all currency pairs.

UBS Australia top ranked in Business Review Weekly (BRW) / East Coles Top Stockbrokers Survey

UBS has been named Best Equities House in Australia in the annual Business Review Weekly (BRW) / East Coles Top Stockbrokers Survey - a hotly contested appraisal of all US, European and domestic equities brokers operating in Australia. This year's results saw the firm retain its overall #1 ranking, while also topping no less than 12 separate sector categories. In addition, there were eight instances where UBS had the first ranked team as well as the first ranked analysts.

UBS Pactual takes 1st in 2008 Institutional Investor All-Brazil Research Team survey

Institutional Investor's fifth annual ranking of Brazil's best analysts has once again placed UBS Pactual first - for a third consecutive year. Topping the tables with 13 total team places, UBS obtained 39 points on a ranking-weighted basis.

UBS out performs in Risk's institutional client rankings for 2008

UBS received number one ranking in both the Currency Forwards Overall and the Exotic Currency Options Overall categories. In the detail currency pair categories UBS was maintained its lead in USD/JPY and USD/CHF Cross-Currency Swaps, while in Currency Options UBS climbed to the top spot up from last year's number three ranking in USD/EUR and won USD/CHF.

UBS names Carsten Kengeter Global Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities

UBS today announced the appointment of Carsten Kengeter as Global Head of the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) business within its Investment Bank. Kengeter will join UBS from Goldman Sachs and will relocate from Hong Kong to London in his new role. He will report to Jerker Johansson, Chairman and CEO of UBS Investment Bank, and will join the Investment Bank Executive Committee and the UBS Group Managing Board. Read More
